Two years in the same water – Just Marka
…my lovely husband and I. Every day I’m more and more in love with him.
I love him even more than before our wedding. He has been my greatest friend. Why? I don’t know. Maybe it’s because we’ve decided not to stop celebrating ‘us’ since our wedding day and so we have a date every single week.
Yes, we are together at home every evening but I think it’s different, because there is always something more important than just sitting next to each other and talking (you always check the social networks or text with your friends, or our parents call).
However, our date means that nobody disturbs us. The two of us together- there are no calls, no phones, no other people to interrupt our romantic evening. It doesn’t matter where we are or what we do, the important thing is to dedicate time to your partner. For example we are walking downtown and having dinner in our favorite restaurant, enjoying picnic in some park with our picnic basket, drinking wine with an awful perspective on the city, going to the cinema, having a candlelight dinner on our balcony, visiting some gallery, exhibition, concert or theater, lying on grass in a garden or reading a book together – yes, we’ve read more books together in order to discuss.

But what about our anniversary? We don’t offer each other any special presents. I get one simple red rose every month. But for me it means more than just one red rose – it means he never forgets the 5th day of every month. And the big gift every year? We offer each other time. Just the time? Hm… Sometimes it is way more dificult than buying some present. We use this time to travel together.
This year we have decided not to travel so far because we are expecting our baby. There is a beautiful country close by but I’ve never been there for summer holidays. It’s Austria. It doesn’t have sea but it has beautiful lakes. During our anniversary we found one of the most stunning places – the lake Wörthersee. It’s a clean and lovely lake in the middle of mountains with many romantic views. Along the shore you can find many pleasant promenades, rose gardens and small beaches. Just sitting on a bench we felt like being at the end of 19th century. One thing we can truly recommend is visiting the city Klagenfurt and small villages Pörtschach and Velden where you can enjoy many places with almost sea-like atmosphere.
Two years is too short to give some marriage advice but spending time together works great for us. We’ll see how we’ll do it with our baby boy. 🙂
