PARIS – THE SHOW MUST GO ON

It’s really easy to fall in depression and fear when reading news nowadays. Therefore I feel satisfied that I stopped following the news sites on social media. I am really careful in choosing the article I am interested in. I haven’t paid attention to the last year’s terrorist attack in Paris too frantically. It’s not about indifference to society, it’s about not falling in fear, which is the main goal of terrorists.

Thanks to it we could enjoy “international family meeting” before Christmas in Paris. I mean international because we met there with two other couples from Spain and Switzerland. One of them was newlyweds and the whole trip was a gift for them. We’ve planned to see the city and visit Cirque du Soleil performance.

Even with the policemen on the streets the life in Paris was as usual. Squares were full of people, bands were playing on the streets, restaurants and bars were also full of Parisians and artists didn’t disappoint us and we could admire their paintings. Although it was foggy we enjoyed our time walking in parks, eating and drinking and we’ve also visited an excellent performance of Cirque du Soleil (but it was forbidden to take photos there).

In the end I am glad that we didn’t get scared and took the trip.
