ČESKY KRUMLOV – DISCOVER THE CZECH REPUBLIC
Before our leaving The Czech Republic we wanted to see again one of its most beautiful places. Last weekend we went for a day trip to Český Krumlov.
It’s a romantic historical town just 2 hours from Prague. We came there on Friday evening and woke up with a view overlooking the medieval town. It was a great idea because we could enjoy a cozy town without tourists.
What I like most about the town :
- Great town for children – because there are no cars and you can go everywhere with a stroller (even inside the castle).
- It’s ideal for a weekend or one day visit
- I love the Kolektiv Cafe – beside friendly “kolektiv” (staf) they also make sublime ginger tea with a touch of cinnamon and have a Kids’ corner.
- On the other side of the street there is a guy making Trdelnik (I wrote about him on Instagram) and people always crowd around him because of his friendly attitude. Trdelnik is a traditional sweet cylindrical pastry.
- Penzión Krumlov – this B&B made us feel more welcome and at home than many other hotels we visited before we felt more comfortable than in many other hotels before. The staff was wonderful and it was walking distance from the city centre and all day parking was free of charge.
The only thing we would like to experience next time is the famous Revolving Theater.
So if you have no plans for this weekend I recommend Český Krumlov. :)
