Caorle – the nearest genuine Italy – Just Marka

After celebrating our wedding anniversary in Wörthersee we decided to relax by the sea. Which place is the best when it comes to nice beaches and delicious food? It’s our favorite holiday destination, Italy.

We love many parts of Italy but since we are expecting a baby we didn’t want to travel so far. Therefore we chose Caorle – the cozy beach town in the northern Italy, near to Venice with a nice historical atmosphere. We have been there several times before and we have just fallen in love with it. In comparison to other places in this area it has a very calm and romantic vibe and what is most important for us, there are some very good gluten free restaurants. One of them is a sea side restaurant in a hotel called Stellamare where we stayed. We liked eating there every night, not only because of romantic views but mostly for their delicious gluten free pizzas. I recommend their amazing pizza with mozzarella burrata (I must confess I ordered it every day :D).

During the day we enjoyed sunny time on the beach. The sea there is so shallow that it was very safe and convenient for me as an expecting mother to calmly chill in the salty water.  We have also met a lot of families with newborn babies and toddlers enjoying the sea. They didn’t have to worry about their children. The older children could play safely also 50 meters from the beach. In the evenings we used to take slow romantic walks on the sea promenade which led us to the centre. We are looking forward to our next holiday there with our baby.

As from each holiday we spent in Italy, we were leaving with our car full of olive oil which I love using in my cooking :).
