BAREFOOT IN A PARK
The weekend has started.
The weekend before our holiday.
We have planned to spend the whole time among other things by preparing for our trip to Portugal. We wanted to book at least first hostel we’ll stay in, narrow the search of the cities and buy few little things we’ll need… But it was such a glamorous weather outside. Wouldn’t it be a waste of time?
Hard decision for us? Not at all.
We decided to change our plans and went out. The shinning sun, warm gusting breeze, trees full of such fascinating colors. Green, yellow, orange, red, brown… All these things were adding to the most beautiful autumn atmosphere I could imagine. I gave a smile to my husband and started laughing and jumping like a child. He understood. He knew exactly why I was doing it. I love the season. I just love to go out and walk…. and feel all these things around me.
We didn’t have to go so far. We parked our car only 10 kilometers from our flat.
We’ve begun the day by eating as we are used to. Yes, we are like the oldest couple in the word. But we are not sorry, we just like it. We love food and spending time by tasting delicious food and wine.
After a gluten free pizza (not so delicious :)) we came to Průhonice National park. I was stunned by the place. I’ve thought it would be a small park or maybe a bigger garden but it wasn’t. It was a gigantic park and botanic garden with about 250 ha. Something enchanting!
Imagine a fairytale castle standing over romantic lake surrounded by impressive trees. Amazing view! Look up and see branches entangled in one another with so much different colors. Then turn around and watch the beauty of the green grass and small lakes covered by the autumn glow of floating leaves. And as you walk the whole day you’ll discover one beauty after the other.
We were so enthusiastic that we returned there the next day!
