Banana-Chocolate Bundt Cake – Just Marka
This story comes from the beginning of summer when cold and rainy evenings surprised us. The summer fruit season had already started but we still had some ripe bananas at home. As me and my husband decided to waste food as little as possible, it was a good time to bake something yummy.
In this cold time I imagined some cake to go well with hot chocolate and so this banana-chocolate bundt cake came to life.

What we need:
- 150g dark chocolate
- 2 eggs
- 150g brown sugar
- 2 ripe bananas
- juice from half a lemon
- 50ml rum
- 50ml oil
- 70g buckwheat flour
- 150g rice flour
- 2 tsp of baking-powder
- pinch of salt
- 120g sour cream
How we do it:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C. Grease a bundt pan. I like using coconut oil for it.
- Melt chocolate in a water bowl (Place a wide skillet with about 3-5 cm of water on a burner. Place chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl and set the bowl directly in the water. Bring the water to a simmer, then turn off the flame and let the chocolate sit until it is melted.).
- Mash bananas using a fork.
- In a small bowl beat in eggs with sugar.
- Add mashed bananas, lemon juice and melted chocolate
- Pour oil and rum slowly to the mixture.
- Add both flours, baking-powder and salt
- Finally add sour cream.
- Pour the mixture to the bundt pan and bake about 50 minutes.
Optional: Cover the bundt cake with melted chocolate and almond chips.
