Listen to your heart in Verona.
You don’t need a ticket to the Arena to hear music in Verona. Sometimes, you just need to stop walking. 🤍
There are street musicians around almost every corner. I tend to walk past the same amplified hits on repeat and linger where someone’s music makes the city feel a little more personal.
If you’re looking for a romantic little pause while exploring Verona, these are my three favourite spots:
♡ Ponte Pietra
There’s often someone playing in the middle of the bridge. Stop for a song, watch the Adige flow beneath you, and take your time getting to the other side.

♡ Cortile del Mercato Vecchio
A tucked-away courtyard with the beautiful Scala della Ragione. It feels a little quieter here. People stop, sit, and listen. And if the music feels right, there’s room for a little dance together.

♡ Castel San Pietro
Walk all the way up for the view over Verona’s rooftops. It can get crowded up here, so it’s more about the atmosphere than a quiet moment together. When someone is playing, find a spot and stay for another song. The walk back down can wait.
I actually prefer the musicians along the path up — it’s easier to stop and listen there. Sometimes, they even provide the soundtrack to my photoshoots.

Some evenings, you’ll find music in Piazza delle Erbe too. With the buildings all around you and music filling the square, it can feel like a little open-air concert.

You won’t always find a musician, and not every performance will be perfect. But that’s part of it. A familiar melody, a beautiful view, someone you love beside you.
Let be quided by your hear. Verona will surprise you. 🎶
